HOME MEASUREMENT FOR CABINET INSTALLATION

In order for F.H.G. to provide you with sound product advice, accurate estimates, and proper installation, we
must have correct measurements. Below is a guide to assist you as you measure your home.  To keep track
of your measurements, please create a sketch of your room with approximations of where appliances,
windows, doors, outlets, etc. are located.
STEP ONE: Measure the total length of each wall without regard to windows, doors, etc. – that will
come later. Next, measure the distance from floor to ceiling – measuring in more than one spot
will help to reduce error – we recommend you measure four spots in your room from floor to
ceiling.

STEP TWO: Beginning from the left, measure the distance horizontally from the left edge of the
wall to the center of all pipes, vents and outlets. Do the same with your vertical measurements.

STEP THREE: Lastly, measure from the left, the distance to any doors and windows in your room.
Be sure to include the vertical measurements as well (i.e. distance from floor to bottom of window
frame and from the top of the window frame to the ceiling; distance from top of door frame to
ceiling).
